Lindsay Lohan’s mum fears the worst
Lindsay Lohan’s mother fears 'time is running out' for the actress.
Dina Lohan – who has already expressed her fears her daughter may take her own life and has been cutting herself – told ex-husband Michael Lohan how the 'Mean Girls’ had started drinking again and was concerned at what the alcohol would do to her.
She said in a leaked phone call posted on website Radar Online: "Time is running out with this kid. I know I'm her mother and I feel it and I'm scared.
"She'll open up to you but it's nothing compared to what's going on with this kid. And don't tell her I told you anything or try to weasel s**t out of her... she'll tell you when she's ready to talk about s**t. Right now all I know is she's starting to drink and that's bad."
The phone call was made in 2008 and the tape, along with many others, have been leaked by Michael, much to Dina’s fury.
In other tapes, Dina told Michael – who is estranged from Lindsay - how the 23-year-old actress had been cutting herself as her life spirals more and more out of control.
She said: "Her cutting herself and hurting herself? Yeah, it's bad Michael, it's bad."
Michael recently spoke of his fears for his daughter, saying she has an addiction to prescription drugs which he fears will kill her.
He said: "I want my daughter off prescription medication. She never needed it in her life... I'm not going to watch my daughter die. Hate me now, but you love me more later because I'm gonna turn her life around."
Kate Moss celebrates brother’s 30th with Lily Allen
Kate Moss celebrated her brother’s 30th birthday in style on Wednesday (11.11.09).
The supermodel was joined by a host of celebrity pals - including her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince and singer Lily Allen – at London’s The Dome venue in Tufnell Park to help make sports agent Nick’s landmark birthday a special occasion.
A source told BANG Showbiz: 'Kate looked like she was having a great night hanging out with her friends and making sure her brother had a night to remember. As soon as the group arrived, they headed straight to the bar for a round of shots before presenting the birthday boy with a massive cake and singing 'Happy Birthday’.'
After catching up, the group made their way over to the dance floor to watch and support 35-year-old beauty’s friends, electro-rock duo The Big Pink, perform to guests in conjunction with the re-launch of online retailers Zavvi.com.
The source said: 'For someone who is used to the champagne and caviar of the modelling world, Kate didn’t seem to mind swigging beer from a plastic cup. The group were all smiles as The Big Pink performed and Kate was keen, as ever, to show off her dance moves.'
However, once the 'Dominoes’ hitmakers finished their set, the now 'dishevelled' beauty was whisked aside to chill out with friends.
The source added: 'As the evening went on, Kate looked a little dishevelled as her pals dragged her to the back of the room for a sit down and a chat. Even though she had had a lot to drink, she was all smiles. She even pinched one bemused guest’s cigarettes from a nearby table!'
Although Kate apparently had a great night, 'It’s Not Fair’ singer Lily, 24, took the evening much slower.
The source explained: 'Lily didn’t seem to be in the party mood. She tucked herself away in a quiet corner and seemed more than content gossiping with friends than drinking and partying hard.'
Beyonce books hotel room for her luggage
Beyonce Knowles booked a hotel room just for her luggage.
The 'Sweet Dreams’ hitmaker rented the lavish £2,450-a-night Charles Forte Presidential Suite at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, UK, while performing in nearby city Liverpool this week, but after struggling to find space to hold her 12 bags, had her entourage make a second booking to store her belongings.
A source at Liverpool’s Malmaison hotel – where the star took a £170-a-night room for her luggage – said: "She had seven suitcases, three hand-luggage bags and two boxes, all for her mammoth concert. In the cases there were, apparently, 14 dresses, lots of shoes, make-up and 25 wigs."
It took four helpers to carry her luggage up the stairs to the room, which was situated close to the Liverpool Echo Arena, where she performed twice this week.
Beyonce is not the only singer who refuses to travel light.
Last year, Mariah Carey flew to London for a three-day trip – and brought 20 suitcases with her.
A source said at the time: 'The guys at the airport seemed to e struggling under the load, but Mariah and her husband, Nick Cannon, just breezed straight through.'
